To be honest, it's rare that I can get on with a Kickstarter campaign. Too often I feel like the project doesn't have meaning or focus, or seems like a charity case. Cat & Cloud is different because you'll be investing in a brick and mortar location and in your community. I've known Jared and Chris for a long time and they're really good at coffee, but they also have skills to train others. It's not just about coffee roasting, but about work ethic, customer service, and management. Skills that are so important. I learned the little business sense I have, not from a business degree, but from working in the retail industry for eight years and having mentors. I rely on that foundation everyday. So if you live in Santa Cruz, or you just wanna help out some nice guys: get on board.
Tote bags were the first products we made and although they seem simple, we've updated a lot sine 2010. Still made from waxed canvas, an extra bottom layer and the veg-tanned leather straps are attached with hand-hammered copper rivets. Custom color choices are available and you can add a lining fabric if you'd like. Check them OUT!
We've offered a few backpack designs over the years and have narrowed down our favorite features into the new Daypack. Made from waxed canvas with a double bottom layer, padded back and straps, top flap with cinch closure and a large laptop pocket with two smaller accessory pockets. Four stock color choices, but we're also allowing custom color preferences as well. Check them out in the SHOP.
The poison oak caps are almost all gone, but we got some stickers made! Pack of six for $5, free shipping. Screen printed in USA. Artwork by Daryl Rogers.
We've made the same rectangle toiletry kit for five years now, and although we love the classy brass zipper and leather pull tab, it's time to switch things up. The new travel kit is triangular in shape and smaller in overall volume. Built with USA-made waxed canvas, YKK water-resistant zipper, a paracord loop (to hang from a door knob) and two internal pockets. The beauty is that it doesn't need to be used only for toiletries, but because it stands upright it can be used on a desktop to hold electronic devices, cords, etc.
