Hey, hey. Let’s ride bikes this Thursday in Santa Cruz.

WHEN/WHERE: Thursday June 25th. Meet at 10AM at Kelly’s Bakery Parking lot. 402 Ingalls St.

WHAT: Riding mostly dirt on cross bikes. MTB’s would be fine too, but we’ll mainly be on fireroads and mellow singletrack. Medium pace, nobody gets dropped or lost. Heading up the coast on dirt, into Wilder, across campus and out through Pogonip. Might be some extra loops or detours along the way. Expect 3-ish hours of riding. Bring water, tubes, snacks. We’ll end at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery for lunch around 1:30-2.

*There will bailout spots: EARLY: Ride the 4-5 miles of flat dirt roads out of town and turn around before climbing in Wilder. MIDWAY: Climb through Wilder and bail at Twin Gates, then ride Empire Grade down to town.
